Clinic Receptionist – Casual | 8hrs to 16hrs x week | Melbourne (Flinders Street Campus)
Who we are
Here at Torrens Global Education, our teaching clinics play a vital role in supporting student learning while delivering high-quality services to the community.
We are seeking a Clinic Receptionist to provide professional, friendly and highly organised reception and administration support within our teaching clinic. Reporting to the Clinic Practice Manager, this role is the first point of contact for patients, students, supervisors and practitioners, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly, safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on, people-facing role, ideal for someone with medical or allied health reception experience who thrives in a busy workplace and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
The Opportunity
As Clinic Receptionist, you will manage patient enquiries, appointments, records, payments and follow-ups, while also supporting day-to-day clinic administration such as room setup, stock management and coordination with teaching staff.
You will play a critical role in creating a welcoming, well-organised clinic environment that supports both community patients and student learning.
We are recruiting a casual position based at our Flinders Street Campus, Melbourne. Our business operations run from Monday to Thursday (8am to 8pm) Friday to Saturday (8am to 3pm). For this role, we are looking at around 8-16 hours per week,
in a fixed or rotating roster depending on the clinics requirements with the flexibility to swap shifts with other team members when required due to leave or illness.
What you’ll own & deliver
- Be the welcoming first point of contact for patients, students, supervisors and practitioners
- Collect and respond to patient feedback, complaints or concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate patient records, files and documentation in line with privacy legislation
- Manage accurate appointment scheduling to support effective teaching clinic operations
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a calm, professional and empathetic approach
Who we’re looking for
- Preferred experience in medical, allied health or wellness reception (e.g. clinics, spas, natural therapies), though this is not essential
- Robust IT capability, including MS Word, Excel and practice management systems
- Sound understanding of administrative procedures, records management and privacy requirements
