Clyde Dental Care is a brand-new, clinician-owned family practice opening in September 2026 at Ramlegh Springs Town Centre, Clyde North. It's owned and run by two clinicians who work in the practice every day: Hisham, a dentist with more than fifteen years' experience, and Christine, an oral health therapist. There's no head office. We answer to our patients, and we look after the team who look after them.

We're building for the long term, on good care and word of mouth. That needs a strong team and a genuine culture, so we've thought hard about the role you'd be stepping into.

Pay you can actually see

Most ads say "competitive rates" and leave you guessing. We'll be straight with you. You start at $31.50 an hour, above the award minimum, from day one. From there your pay rises as you build recent skills and use them. You're paid for the skills you have and the work you do.

Room to grow

There's a clear path: Dental Assistant, then Dental Assistant (Advanced), Senior Dental Assistant, and Clinical Coordinator. You'll be trained against clear standards and signed off at each step, so you always know where you stand and what comes next. We fund the training and qualifications that move you up.

The role

This job spans the surgery and the front desk, and we'll train you on both. Day to day:

Four-handed chairside assisting, with rooms and equipment kept ready

Sterilisation and infection control, done to standard

Clinical photos, intra-oral scans, and some lab work

Settling in new and emergency patients, including nervous children and adults

Front desk: greeting patients, phones, the appointment book in Principle,



payments and health fund claims

Whatever the task, you help people feel calm and well looked after, from the front door to checkout.

How we work

If something looks unsafe or not right, anyone can stop and say so, no blame. We'd rather redo a job than risk it. That applies to everyone, including the owners. We hold high standards, we resource them fairly, and we build you up to them in sequence. You won't be thrown in the deep end.

Who we're looking for

You'll do well here if you take pride in doing things properly, stay accurate when the day gets busy, and speak up when something isn't right.

Certificate III in Dental Assisting, or solid experience and a real plan to finish it

Sound infection control

Warm, clear communication with patients, including children

The confidence to raise a concern with a senior colleague when it counts

Happy to work across the surgery and the front desk (we'll train you on reception)

Willing to complete a national police check

Certificate IV in Dental Assisting (Dental Radiography) with a current Victorian radiation use licence

Reception or front office experience (dental or medical a plus)

Cloud practice software (we use Principle) and HICAPS

Orthodontic assisting, or lab and 3D printing

A second language spoken in and around Clyde North
