What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that process large volumes of data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide them with the necessary tools and infrastructure to perform their analyses.
- Optimize existing data workflows to improve performance and reduce latency, ensuring timely access to critical advertising data.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems to identify and resolve data discrepancies proactively.
- Work with cloud-based technologies to deploy and manage data solutions, leveraging platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, ensuring that team members have access to clear and concise information about data flows and structures.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and advertising, applying this knowledge to enhance our platform.
- Collaborate with the product team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, providing timely support to internal stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and helping to develop their skills in data engineering.
- Engage in cross-team projects, contributing your data engineering expertise to enhance overall product offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Kafka.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases, as well as familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and their data services, including data storage and processing solutions.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker, enabling you to present data insights effectively.
- Knowledge of advertising technologies and metrics, particularly in the context of digital advertising and auction systems.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes for deploying data solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
