Join us as a Locum Mental Health Registered Nurse and play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care across all divisions of mental health nursing, including community, inpatient, acute, and more.

We are seeking dedicated nurses for a minimum 10- 12-week contract across Coastal NSW locations. In these dynamic roles, you’ll work in diverse settings providing case management, planning patient care, administering medication, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

The Opportunity

As a Locum Mental Health Registered Nurse with cmr, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of meaningful roles within Coastal NSW mental health services. From community outreach to acute interventions, you will provide critical support and care across:





Acute Mental Health Work in fast-paced acute environments managing mental health crises, stabilising patients, and collaborating with emergency services. Your crisis intervention skills will play a vital role in high-pressure situations.

Inpatient Mental Health Units Provide consistent and supportive care to individuals requiring more intensive mental health support. Responsibilities include daily assessments, medication administration, and working alongside multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.

Community Mental Health Deliver vital care in community settings through case management, comprehensive mental health assessments, and collaborative care planning. Build meaningful relationships with clients and support them throughout their recovery journey.

Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Qualifications: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in mental health nursing, particularly in case management
- Communication: Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Driver’s Licence: Current valid licence for community-based roles
- Flexibility: Willingness to commit to 10-12-week locum contracts within Coastal NSW
