Position: Retail Manager
Salary: $79,000 to 90,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation
Hours: 38 hours per week

Burger Urge Kelvin Grove is seeking an experienced and passionate Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant and ensure the delivery of exceptional food quality, customer service, and operational performance. Located at Urban Village, Kelvin Grove, the restaurant provides a quick-paced dining environment focused on quality burgers, fresh ingredients, and memorable customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading restaurant operations, managing team performance, maintaining efficient business processes, and ensuring Burger Urge’s service and brand standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service, effective workflows, and consistent delivery of high-quality food and customer experiences.
• Monitor stock levels, ingredient availability, ordering requirements, and supplier coordination to maintain appropriate inventory levels while reducing wastage.
• Oversee purchasing activities and assist in selecting products, supplies, and services that meet quality standards and operational requirements.
• Analyse sales performance, operating costs,



and business results to identify opportunities for improving profitability and operational efficiency.
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, cash management, and maintaining accurate records of sales, expenses, and inventory transactions.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, increase sales, and enhance overall restaurant performance.
• Lead, train, supervise, and support restaurant staff to ensure excellent service standards, teamwork, and compliance with company procedures.
• Prepare staff schedules and manage workforce requirements to ensure appropriate staffing levels during busy trading periods.
• Ensure all team members follow food safety practices, workplace health and safety requirements, hygiene procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation standards, and service quality to ensure products consistently meet Burger Urge expectations.
• Handle customer feedback, resolve operational issues, and implement improvements to enhance the overall dining experience.
• Support promotional activities, menu launches, and marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and strengthen brand presence.
• Maintain restaurant presentation, cleanliness,



equipment standards, and compliance with operational requirements.
• Work closely with senior management, suppliers, and team members to improve business performance and achieve operational goals.

Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management (preferred but not required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory or management role within the food or retail industry.

Skills & Other Requirements:
• Strong understanding of inventory management, purchasing processes, staff supervision, and customer service operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, improve operational efficiency, and achieve business targets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety, food safety, and compliance requirements.
