We are a proud Western Australian success story and a family centred practice. TSH (formally Telethon Speech & Hearing) provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist who shares our commitment to excellence by using evidence-informed practice and up to date professional knowledge to deliver the highest level of service to students in our Outpost Partner School Support Program.

This role will support our Outpost Partner School Support Program – a program which provides comprehensive in-school support for students with hearing loss who use oral communication from K-12 at our partner primary and secondary schools around the Perth Metropolitan area, as well as supporting 3 years olds in our wonderful TalkAbout Playgroup.

The role is 0.7 FTE fixed term for 6 months.

About You To be successful in this role you will be an inclusive professional who is family focused and nurturing, and you must be able to demonstrate:

- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of intervention for children 3-18 years of age.
- Solid experience working with children and their families
- Strong communication (both written and verbal)



and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people including parents, visitors, management and other TSH staff.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Experience and commitment to dealing with confidential child records and/or business records and information.
- Commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment.
- A willingness to work across all TSH programs as required

You will possess the following qualifications:

- Possess a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) or equivalent.

You must also:

- hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC), NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and National Police Clearance.
- hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- eligibility to apply for a Medicare Provider number
