Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a committed Senior Medical Officer (Rural Generalist or Vocational Practitioner) to provide high-quality, evidence-based primary healthcare services at Babinda Multipurpose Health Service.

About us:

Babinda MPHS is a true ‘non-proceduralist Rural Generalist' opportunity for Senior Medical Officers. Providing a wide breadth of health care to the rural community: neonatal to palliative care, emergency, acute, sub-acute and primary health care, allied health, community and residential aged care. Babinda provides not only a varied and fulfilling career experience but is active in the education and training of James Cook University second, fourth and sixth year medical students, junior doctors and RACGP and ACRRM registrars. Education and Training is rostered and supported through our local Emergency Medicine Education and Training (EMET) Team, RSQ and TEMSU Telehealth Education and access to the Cairns Clinical Skills Centre.

About your new role:
