In partnership with Toll Aviation, Gunggandji Aerospace is supporting the delivery of South Australia's State Police, Ambulance and Rescue Aviation Service (SPARAS), the critical aviation service responsible for police, ambulance and rescue missions across the state.

As part of a newly established Aviation Operations Centre at Adelaide Airport, an exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Controller to join a highly skilled and supportive team delivering an essential service to the South Australian community.

Your current role

Working within the Aviation Operations Centre on a rotating roster, you'll support the coordination, monitoring and reporting of emergency aviation missions across South Australia.

No aviation experience is required. Full paid training will be provided, including nationally recognised aviation industry qualifications and comprehensive operational training. We're seeking reliable, motivated individuals who are eager to learn and build a long term career.

- Coordinate flight following and tasking activities for emergency aviation missions.
- Monitor aircraft, crew and mission status in real time.




- Maintain communication with operational stakeholders and service partners.
- Capture operational data and prepare reports.
- Support emergency response activities in line with operational procedures.
- Complete accurate and detailed shift handovers.
- Assist with crew coordination and roster management activities.
- Maintain operational records and documentation.
- Support service continuity during operational disruptions while adhering to established safety and fatigue management frameworks.

What you'll need to succeed

- Availability to work a rotating roster including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn multiple operating systems.

- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Strong communication skills.

- A calm and professional approach when working in a rapid-paced environment.

- Willingness to work within a drug and alcohol-free workplace, including pre-employment and ongoing testing requirements.

- Eligibility to obtain
- National Police Check

- Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

- Working with Children Check

- Full Australian working rights.

- Availability to commence from late August 2026.

- Ability to undertake initial training in Sydney.





- Experience in aviation, emergency services, logistics, dispatch, operations centres or similar coordination roles will be highly regarded, however is not essential.
