The Client Services Team within the Fixed Income division performs a critical function within the back office, providing comprehensive support to clients and internal stakeholders across the business. As a central team within FIIG, Client Services is responsible for managing client onboarding, client queries, static data maintenance, bond setup and maintenance, fee administration and counterparty due diligence, while ensuring a high standard of service and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a complex financial services setting and gain exposure to a broad range of middle and back-office functions. You will have the opportunity to build technical knowledge,
strengthen your operational expertise and develop a deep understanding of fixed income products and processes.
While the role has clearly defined responsibilities, we are looking for someone who is naturally curious, adaptable and willing to support the wider team wherever required. Success in this position will come from a combination of strong attention to detail, a client-focused mindset, and a desire to continuously learn and improve.

What will you be doing
This role is based in Brisbane and will have accountability for:
- Leverage emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools, to improve operational efficiency, client service outcomes and process quality.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the Client Services function.
- Completing the on-boarding process for new clients,
counterparties and intermediaries as well as perform AML/CTF checks and KYC due diligence
- Assisting with security and client static data maintenance and ensure sign-off and control around static data changes with relevant approvals
- with other departments participate in ongoing and ad-hoc projects
- Constantly liaising between the front and back office to ensure seamless transactions and client experience
- Answering client queries on the phone and on emails by monitoring the team email inbox
We’d love to hear from passionate people who have:
- 1-3 years' relevant experience in financial services (preferably banking), operations or client services
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, FinTech or a related discipline.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve productivity, client outcomes and business processes.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous learning and taking ownership of outcomes.
- The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute innovative ideas that enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk.
- Adaptability, a growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills in a constantly evolving business and technology environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an interest in utilising modern digital tools to improve the way work is performed
