The opportunity As a Parking Officer, you'll help keep our community secure, accessible and moving by undertaking parking patrols, inspections and compliance activities across the municipality.
This hands-on, field-based role combines enforcement, customer service and community education, ensuring parking regulations are applied fairly and consistently while supporting positive community outcomes What You’ll Do Conduct parking patrols and monitor compliance with parking restrictions.
Issue infringements, warnings and compliance notices in line with legislation and Council procedures.
Educate and engage with residents, motorists and businesses to encourage voluntary compliance.
Respond to parking-related enquiries, complaints and service requests professionally.
Maintain accurate enforcement records and supporting evidence.
What You Need To Succeed
Experience in compliance, enforcement, customer service or field-based operational work. Ability to interpret and apply legislation, regulations and policies.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and manage competing priorities.
Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and record-keeping systems.
