Their Project Services Division specializes in delivering high‑value capital works, fitouts, refurbishments, and specialized infrastructure projects across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We are looking for a Project Manager to join this team.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead government‑funded capital works and infrastructure projects ranging from $1M to $10M. This will be in health, education and agecare sectors.

In this role, you will hold end‑to‑end accountability for project delivery—from handover and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and final handover. You will act as the key interface between government stakeholders, client representatives, consultants, and sub‑contractors, ensuring every project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard of quality.

Key Responsibilities

- End‑to‑End Project Delivery: Lead project setup, scheduling, financial management, risk mitigation, and commercial reporting for $1M–$10M government projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with State & Local Government clients, superintendents, user groups, and project consultants.
- Commercial & Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, cost‑to‑complete forecasting, variations, progress claims,



and subcontractor awards using Australian Standard contracts (AS2124 / AS4000).
- Site Leadership & Safety: Drive a robust safety culture on site, ensuring strict compliance with WHS legislation, environmental standards, and their Quality Management Systems.
- Program & Quality Control: Develop and track detailed construction programs (MS Project / Primavera), ensuring milestone targets and quality benchmarks are consistently met.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial building, fitouts, or refurbishments, with a proven track record delivering government‑funded projects ($1M–$10M scope).
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Leadership: Solid team management and communication skills, with the ability to lead site teams, sub‑contractors, and consultant groups effectively.
- Local Knowledge: Solid networks within the Brisbane subcontractor market and familiarity with Queensland government framework guidelines.
