We're recruiting a Technical Sales Estimator to join a well-established Australian manufacturer servicing customers across the construction, infrastructure, mining and heavy industrial sectors.

This role combines technical estimating, quotation preparation and customer relationship management, making it ideal for someone with an engineering, fabrication or steel background looking to utilise their technical knowledge in a commercial environment.

The Role

Working closely with customers, production and the external sales team, you'll be responsible for preparing technical quotations, interpreting customer requirements and ensuring projects are accurately costed from enquiry through to order.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing accurate quotations, estimates and costings for customer enquiries
- Reviewing engineering drawings,



specifications and customer requirements
- Liaising with customers to clarify technical requirements and provide product recommendations
- Providing technical sales support and identifying suitable manufacturing solutions
- Following up quotations and assisting with project conversions
- Working closely with production and operations to ensure estimates are commercially and technically accurate
- Assisting with material take-offs, pricing and project costing
- Managing customer information, quotations and project documentation within the ERP system

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in Estimating, Technical Sales, Internal Sales or Project Coordination
- Engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, steel or industrial industry experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience preparing technical quotations, estimates and project costings
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto, MYOB Advanced, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Netsuite or similar
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Engineering qualifications or a technical trade background will be highly regarded
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
