Finance Transformation Manager [AI First]

Some finance leaders want a well‑oiled machine.

Others want to build one.

This is the second job.

We’re partnering with one of Brisbane’s fastest‑growing businesses, having hired more than 200 people in the past 18 months.

The business is backed by a highly respected Brisbane family with deep accounting and commercial roots. Traditional finance discipline matters here. So does building what finance needs to look like next.

Reporting to an exceptional CFO, you’ll lead a team of six and take ownership of a broad Financial Controller‑style remit, with a genuine mandate to transform how finance operates as the business scales.

What you’ll own

- Financial control, month‑end reporting, compliance and audit
- AP, AR, payroll, collections and core accounting operations
- Cash flow, treasury, budgeting and Board reporting
- Internal controls, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness
- Development of a capable, commercially minded finance team
- The finance transformation roadmap across systems, automation, AI and data

The transformation work. This is where the role gets interesting.

You’ll lead major initiatives including

- Rebuilding collections into a modern, best‑practice function
- Reviewing debt facilities and treasury arrangements
- Exploring reverse factoring, supplier finance and other commercial funding opportunities
- Modernising finance systems, reporting and workflows
- Introducing automation and AI Agents across finance
- Reducing manual work while improving accuracy, speed and control
- Moving the team from transaction processing toward analysis, insight and business partnership

The remit is not theoretical. Real projects are waiting, solid executive support and plenty of room to shape the roadmap.

What you’ll bring





- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong Financial Controller, Head of Finance or senior finance leadership experience
- Deep financial control and technical accounting capability
- Experience improving systems, processes and team performance
- Commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively
- Genuine curiosity around AI, automation and the future of finance

You don’t need to arrive as an AI expert.

You do need to be excited by learning how to run and manage your own AI Agents, and by helping your team use technology to become faster, sharper and more valuable.

Package:

$200,000–$220,000 + super, plus a $20,000 STI paid half‑yearly.

Location:

Gasworks Precinct, four days onsite. One day WFH.
