We are excited to be partnering with the major tourist destination at Phillip Island, in collaboration with the Phillip Island Nature Parks and penguin parade, to deliver a safe and memorable visitor experience at one of Australia’s best wildlife attractions.

About the Role
We are seeking professional, customer-focused Security Officers to join our team at the Phiilip Island Nature Park. This is a unique opportunity to combine security work with helping visitors experience native animals (penguins) in their natural habitat.

Shifts run from an hour before sunset through to approximately 10pm - midnight, seven nights a week. Some later finishes will be required depending on visitor numbers, incidents, or special events, and flexibility with start and finish times will be required. Extensive training and site inductions will be provided prior to commencement.

Key Responsibilities

Assist visitors with directions and accessing permitted areas

Monitoring and preventing the use of flash photography during penguin viewing

Providing excellent customer service and visitor engagement





Lock up facilities across the site

Advise visitors amenities and local transport options

Assisting any injured wildlife (training provided)

Support functions and special events on a casual basis when required

About You

Professional presentation with solid English communication skills (written and verbal)

Customer service mindset with a friendly and approachable manner

Ability to remain calm and effective in dynamic environments

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions, including descent and ascent to nearby beaches

Requirements

Current and valid Victorian Private Security Individual Licence (required)*

Current First Aid Certificate (required)

Working with Children Check (required)

Traffic Management accreditation (advantageous)

Multilingual skills will be highly regarded
