We're now looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead our passionate team and help write the next chapter for Jaga Jaga.

About the Role

As Venue Manager, you'll take ownership of every part of the venue restaurant, rooftop bar, functions and events, beverage program, team leadership, rostering, financial performance and the overall guest experience. This is a role for someone who can run the show independently, without needing an owner on-site to stay motivated you'll lead from the floor, build a team that genuinely enjoys coming to work, and partner with the Directors to keep growing the business.

We'll go into more detail on the day-to-day at interview but broadly, you'll be responsible for:

- Leading, training and developing a high-performing front of house team

- Driving service standards across the restaurant,



rooftop and functions

- Managing labour, beverage and operational costs against budget

- Overseeing the growth and delivery of private functions and events

- Working with the Directors on marketing, entertainment and local awareness

- Maintaining compliance across Food Safety, RSA and WHS

We're Looking For Someone Who:

- Has a warm, welcoming personality and genuinely loves being out on the floor with guests and staff

- Has 3-4+ years' experience in a hospitality management role

- Is self-motivated and comfortable running the venue without an owner standing over their shoulder

- Enjoys systems and process and is confident with POS, booking platforms and hospitality support systems

- Is mature, outgoing and has a big personality that lights up a room

- Genuinely enjoys seeing people have a good time and knows how to build a real sense of community at a venue

- Is socially and digitally savvy, with a good understanding of Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

- Understands labour, food and beverage cost control

- Is commercially minded and results focused

- Has strong wine, cocktail and beverage knowledge

- Wants to make a genuine, lasting impact on the venue's success
