Qualified Gas Plumber with HVAC Experience

Neighbourhood Trades is looking for an experienced Gas Plumber / HVAC Service Technician to join our growing Melbourne team.

We work across plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, with a strong focus on residential service, maintenance and installations.

This role would suit someone who is confident working on their own, can fault-find properly, communicates well with customers and takes pride in their work.

The work is fast-paced, with multiple jobs and different locations each day. You’ll be carrying out servicing, repairs, breakdowns and installations across a range of heating and cooling systems.

The Work

- Gas ducted heating servicing, repairs and installations
- Ducted heating and cooling servicing and installations
- Split-system servicing, repairs and installations
- Evaporative cooling servicing, repairs and installations
- Gas appliance servicing and repairs
- Gas fitting and general gas work
- Breakdowns and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Providing customers with repair and replacement options
- Attending multiple residential jobs each day

What We’re Looking For

- Around 3–5 years’ HVAC experience
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Good communication and customer service
- Reliable and well-presented
- Able to work independently
- Takes pride in completing work properly

Experience with Brivis, Braemar, Bonaire, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu or Daikin would be an advantage.

Residential service and installation experience is also highly regarded, along with someone who can identify additional work and clearly explain options to customers.
