Responsible for processing of the operational day to day Payroll function

Full time - Permanent | Melbourne base

Your next opportunity awaits This role plays a key part in ensuring payroll processes run efficiently while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function. What you'll be working on Payroll Payroll processing completed on a cyclical basis (currently every fortnight) for the Australian and New Zealand based payrolls (Cloud Based system)

Conduct maintenance as required for in-hours payroll systems including but not limited to new starters, exits, salary reviews, changes in hours, etc.

Validating Casual and Overtime timesheets in NTRO's ERP (currently Salesforce) and ensuring this is accurately reflected in NTRO's payroll system (currently Micropay).

Reconcile and validate leave processed between ESS, Micropay payroll and Salesforce

Provide reports as requested by Finance and HR teams

Ensure other payroll obligations such as SMARTSALARY salary packaging, superannuation salary sacrifice, PAYG, Child Support are met each fortnight.

Conduct month end processing and payroll related reconciliations on time to Finance schedule

Conduct fortnightly and monthly payroll checks between payroll report and reconciliation report for End of Year.

Conduct all aspects of End of Financial Year, making sure all reporting is finalised and delivered within the appropriate timeframe Superannuation Superannuation is processed in accordance with Pay Day super regulations each fortnight.

Manage new, exits and amendments for employee's superannuation in line with AMP clearing house.

Maintain integrity of employee information held with AMP clearing house

Reconcile checks between AMP clearing house and payroll regarding superannuation details.

Other

Generate monthly reporting on Defined Benefits staff and submit to AMP Clearing house.

Fulfil other tasks as requested by the Commercial Finance Leader (CFL)



and other senior members of the Finance team

Continue to develop and maintain a level of professional expertise in the payroll regulatory environment, NTRO's EBA and utilised payroll systems

Develops contacts and professional networks to support the Payroll function.

Follow all reasonable instructions and act to preserve the health and safety of self and others in the workplace, including prompt identification and reporting of any workplace incidents or hazards What you'll bring to the role Responsibilities The Payroll Clerk reports to the CFL and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Payroll function.

Maintain a professional working relationship with external providers (eg. Micropay payroll providers, AMP superannuation staff)

Responsible for updating knowledge of and complying with NTRO's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for self and colleagues

Responsible for adhering to all company delegations and other approved policies and procedures Skills requires Prior experience in Payroll/ Accounting/ Finance is essential

Participate in regular training sessions with Senior Professional - Payroll Officer

Attend all Micropay training sessions (monthly webinars, end of year training and ad-hoc training)

Exposure to accounts payable and receivable

MicroPay ESS and Payroll system

Self-confident

Exposure to Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
