Aligned Search is partnering with a well-established organisation to support a key payroll compliance and remediation project.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys getting into the detail, identifying risk and driving meaningful improvements across payroll governance.

About the role:

- 6-month fixed-term contract
- Part-time (3 or 4 days per week)
- Project-focused role with real impact across compliance and governance
- You’ll work closely with Finance, HR, and Payroll, to review current processes, identify gaps and support remediation initiatives

Role responsibilities:

- Reviewing payroll rules, calculations and system configurations
- Assessing compliance across awards, legislation and internal policies
- Identifying risks, inconsistencies and potential underpayments
- Supporting remediation planning and implementation
- Strengthening payroll governance, controls and processes




- Documenting processes and driving system improvements
- Partnering with key stakeholders and providing clear, practical recommendations

About you:

- Robust experience across payroll compliance, governance or remediation
- Deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and modern awards
- Experience in payroll audits, reviews or remediation programs
- Ability to interpret complex pay rules (overtime, leave, super, etc.)
- Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Confident communicator who can engage and influence stakeholders
- Experience with Employment Hero is highly regarded
