About the role

As the Payroll Officer at Wilson Transformer Company, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across the business. Working as part of the People & Culture team, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining payroll and employee records, ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements, and providing exceptional support to employees and leaders on payroll-related matters. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, HRIS administration, reporting, and business analytics that support informed decision-making across the organisation.

Experience implementing and maintaining a Payroll/HRIS system (ADP & Elmo) would be highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include

- Process timely and accurate weekly and monthly end to end payroll
- Validate payroll inputs, timesheets, allowances, deductions, terminations, adjustments and leave transactions
- Reconcile payroll reports and investigate discrepancies
- Process Month End payments and processes
- Responsible for year-end activities as directed by Financial Controller eg payment summaries and reconciliations
- Maintain superannuation fund information and supporting clearing house processes to ensure contributions are processed in line with legislative requirements
- Accurate & timely reporting and analytics – weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually
- Workers Compensation payments and adjustments
- Maintain payroll and employee records
- Process employee commencements, transfers, promotions and terminations
- Support HRIS maintenance,



testing and system improvements
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality

What we're looking for

- Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated payroll experience ideally gained in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with ADP Payforce or similar payroll platform.
- Experience with Manufacturing and Clerical award interpretation
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- The ability to work to autonomously and employ problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Excellent administrative skillset with high attention to detail
- A dynamic individual who is willing to dive in and support the business with enthusiasm and dedication.
