We are seeking an experienced Pega Principal Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise Pega solutions, providing technical leadership, enforcing best practices, and ensuring scalable, high-quality implementations. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders, guiding development teams, and driving solution architecture aligned with business and IT objectives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential Technical Qualification:
- Mandatory
Certified Lead System Architect (LSA) (both Part 1 & 2)
- A Principal Systems Architect with overall 15+years and 10+ years relevant Pega experience and at least 4-6 Major Pega projects implementation.
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing end-to-end Pega solutions in large-scale enterprise environments leveraging AI, Blueprint and up-to-date ways of delivery.
- Experience delivering one or two major Pega transformation programs for large enterprise clients, preferably within Financial Services, Banking, Government, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Experience in solutions development on Pega using Pega forms, workflows, data models, layer cake, integration and Pega mobility.
- Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, coding, integration, implementation, and deployment within Pega environments.
- Strong understanding of Case management concepts , Activities, Flows, SSO Integrations, Connectors, Services and Data Interactions.
- Debugging Skills & User Interfaces in PRPC. (Clipboard, PAL, Rules Inspector, TRACER, Harness, Section etc)
- Experience of integrating Pega with other Technology Platforms.
- Demonstrates excellent customer interaction abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with building security first solutions, authorisation, identity, encryption, authentication, OWASP, SSOA and RBAC.
- Able to Provide thought-leadership to Customer stakeholders across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements; and Proficient on Pega tools like AES, SMA, PLA, BIX, Accessibility framework is must.
- Experience in working on Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in code review, optimization, and Pega application performance analysis, including performance tuning. Responsible for analysing, identifying, and logging application enhancements and defects.
- Good understanding of Relational Database Management Systems including architecting and designing for performance and scalability and working with Object to Relational Mapping schemes for distributed data access.
- Capable of applying customer standards by reusing existing frameworks or establishing and enforcing appropriate standards in solution development. Proficient in designing and promoting reusable components as enterprise assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the development team, providing technical guidance and support as required.
- Responsible for architecting and designing business applications using Pega PRPC and related Pega frameworks.
- Drive the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable and maintainable solutions within the PRPC Rules environment.
- Create technical designs, define enterprise class structures, and review infrastructure requirements such as data architecture definitions and data management plans .
- Collaborate with the Solution Architect to deliver end-to-end Pega applications and projects.
- Understand the customer’s enterprise technology landscape and position Pega effectively within the overall architecture.
- Experience in leveraging DevOps methods in projects. (Preferred)
- Participate in requirement analysis and gathering workshops , ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into Pega design inputs.
- Responsible for estimation and enterprise class structure design , ensuring the overall application design aligns with enterprise standards.
- Ensure the application not only meets current business needs but is also designed to accommodate future scalability and feature enhancements.
- Analyze and resolve complex design and configuration challenges to meet defined objectives.
- Prepare High-Level Designs (HLDs) , low-code platform solutions , and gather non-functional requirements (NFRs) .
- Provide accurate time and resource estimates for project deliverables in line with established processes.
- Offer technical inputs on dependencies, sequencing, and risks to assist the Project Manager in project planning and execution.
- Review and approve solution designs, logic configurations, and technical artifacts to ensure alignment with Pega best practices.
- Support the Quality Assurance (QA) team by implementing necessary configuration changes during testing cycles.
- Oversee and execute deployment activities across all environments, including Production.
Preferred Qualification: (Optional/Good to have)
- Experience in any of the Pega frameworks, Underwriting, CS, CRM, CPM, PGP,BFSI, Smart Dispute, Smart Investigate, CLM/KYC etc.
- Exposure to Pega Decisioning or Pega Marketing modules, with a solid grasp of their application within customer engagement and business process workflows.
