About the role

Join The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Perioperative Administration team and support the delivery of safe and productive surgical care. This role is responsible for accurate inventory tracking, consumable management and documentation within the H-TRAK system.

Working collaboratively with clinical and supply chain teams, you will support stock reconciliation, system maintenance and data accuracy to ensure perioperative services have the resources they need to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Accountabilities

Accurately record and reconcile usage of medical consumables, implants and supplies using the H-trak system

Ensure all inventory transactions are completed in realtime or end of day to maintain data integrity and enable correct billing

Monitor and follow up on incomplete or incorrect entries: liaise with clinical teams to resolve discrepancies

Maintain user access levels and support user training on h-trak functions and best practices





Assist with cyclical stocktakes and audits in alignment with hospital inventory policies

Provide timely support to perioperative teams to facilitate smooth clinical operations and accurate supply usage documentation

About You

Highly developed customer service, interpersonal and communication skills including a professional telephone manner

Relevant clerical experience with strong administrative and computer skills including the Microsoft suite

Knowledge of medical terminology and professional presentation

Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, flexibility and reliability

Commitment to The Melbourne Way – people first, leading with kindness, excellence together

Desirable

Knowledge of perioperative services

Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems, preferably Epic and iPM, and H-Trak devices
