We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer – Billing & Invoicing to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has a keen eye for detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for processing supplier invoices, preparing accurate client billing, resolving invoice queries and ensuring revenue is recovered correctly. You'll work closely with our Finance, Operations and supplier network to deliver accurate, timely and efficient billing outcomes. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
What you'll be doing
- Process and validate supplier invoices against purchase orders, approved rates and supporting documentation.
- Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
- Apply approved pricing and mark-ups to supplier costs.
- Generate accurate client invoices in line with billing schedules and contractual requirements.
- Reconcile supplier invoices with client billing records.
- Assist with month-end billing and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails.
- Respond to billing and invoice enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across billing and finance processes.
What you'll bring
- At least 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Billing Administration.
- Experience processing high volumes of invoices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy.
- Experience using accounting, ERP or billing systems.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration or similar.
- Experience with pricing schedules, cost recovery or mark-up calculations.
- Additional accounting or finance qualifications.
