As an Employment Skills Mentor in the Workforce Australia program, you'll play a vital role in helping participants develop the confidence, skills, and work-readiness needed to succeed in the workplace.
This rewarding, hands‑on position combines participant mentoring, workshop facilitation, activity coordination and community engagement. You'll support participants to overcome barriers, develop new skills, connect with meaningful activities and move closer to sustainable employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging group workshops and one‑on‑one mentoring.
- Connect participants with training, work experience and activities, including Work for the Dole.
- Build trusted relationships and deliver tailored coaching that strengthens confidence, motivation and employability.
- Develop solid partnerships with employers, training providers and community organisations to create employment pathways.
- Maintain accurate records and manage complex administration, ensuring full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Bring
- A genuine passion for supporting people from diverse backgrounds to achieve their goals and reach their potential.
- Experience facilitating workshops, delivering training, or mentoring individuals in a supportive and engaging way.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, outcomes‑focused environment.
- Highly proficient across digital platforms, with the ability to manage and navigate multiple systems efficiently.
- Full work rights in Australia, with the ability to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
