Job Description – Manhattan WMS Consultant
Location: Melbourne, Hybrid, 3 days from office Mandatory
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manhattan WMS Consultant with 5+ years of hands‑on experience in implementing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The ideal candidate will possess strong functional and technical expertise in warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and WMS solution delivery.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and warehouse operations teams to design and implement effective warehouse management solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Configure and implement Manhattan WMS solutions based on business needs.
- Design and document end-to-end warehouse management processes and solutions.
- Support WMS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and production support activities.
- Conduct process mapping and identify opportunities for warehouse optimization.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, architects, and business users.
- Lead workshops, requirement discussions, and solution review sessions with clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, test scenarios, and user guides.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system integration testing, and defect resolution.
- Deliver end‑user training and provide change management support.
- Troubleshoot system issues and recommend improvements to maximize operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience with Manhattan Associates WMS (WMOS, Active WM, or Manhattan SCALE).
- Proven experience in WMS implementation, configuration, and support.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and supply chain management processes, including:
- Inbound Receiving
- Putaway
- Inventory Management
- Replenishment
- Picking & Packing
- Shipping & Dispatch
- Returns Management
- Experience in business requirements gathering and process analysis.
- Strong knowledge of solution design, documentation, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and drive discussions with business and technical teams.
- Strong presentation and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Manhattan Active Supply Chain solutions.
- Exposure to integration technologies, APIs, and EDI interfaces.
- Experience working in large‑scale retail, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Manhattan certification is highly desirable.
