About the Role

Our Client is looking for skilled and motivatedStructural Steel Fabricatorsto join their busy production team in Somerton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified professional who thrives in a fast-paced workshop workplace and is looking to maximize their earnings with consistent overtime.

ALL STRUCTURAL STEEL! MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN FABRICATION AND MIG.
Day Shift Monday - Friday 6am -2.30pm
Pay Rate $54.86 + Overtime - 50 - 60 Hours/ week

Key Responsibilities

- Fabrication:Mark off and fabricate structural steel components according to strict project specifications.
- Reading Drawings:Interpret complex technical blueprints and structural drawings to ensure absolute precision in every build.
- Welding & Assembly:Perform MIG welding, cutting,



and fitting to assemble steel sections and plates.
- Machinery Operation:Set up and operate various metalworking tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting torches.
- Quality Control:Conduct thorough checks on welds and dimensions to ensure all products meet industry standards and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For

- Experience:Proven background in structural steel fabrication (Boilermaker/1st Class Welder equivalent).
- Technical Skills:You must be able to read and interpret structural drawings independently.
- Precision:High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Fitness:Physically fit and strong hand-eye coordination
- Reliability:A strong work ethic with the ability to handle a physically demanding role.
- Flexibility:Ability to work independently and in a team
- Availability:Ready to commit to a Monday-Friday day shift with a willingness to take on significant overtime.
