About the role Geosyntec Consultants is expanding its presence in Australia and is seeking a Senior Tailings / Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This position will focus on providing expert consulting services in the mine tailings and water dam sectors. You will play a key role in delivering innovative solutions for major mining clients across the country.
- Provide specialized consulting services related to tailings management and geotechnical engineering.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective strategies for mining projects.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in tailings and geotechnical engineering.
- Solid understanding of Australian mining regulations and standards.
- Proven ability to manage projects and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with numerical modeling software.
- Familiarity with environmental assessments and sustainability practices in mining.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis tools and software.
- Knowledge of industry standards related to tailings and geotechnical projects.
- Competence in project management methodologies.
