Design & Estimating Consultant – (CAD / Internal Sales)

Clickdeck is an Australian company revolutionising how decks are built. Our flagship ClickDeck® aluminium deck framing system is used by builders, architects, and DIY customers across Australia on residential and commercial projects. We're expanding our Victorian design team and looking for a technically sharp, fast-moving CAD Design & Estimator to join our team.

About the Role

This role blends design, estimating, and customer communication. You'll interpret drawings, use 3D CAD software (SketchUp) to design deck framing layouts, prepare material take-offs (Excel) and quotes, then work directly with builders and homeowners over the phone to explain your designs and move them confidently from quote to order.

This role suits someone who can move fast without getting stuck on details, while still keeping quotes accurate. This is an office-based, computer-focused role with regular phone communication with builders, designers, and homeowners.

Key Activities You'll Be Doing





- Designing deck framing layouts using 3D CAD software (SketchUp), with correct spans, supports, and cantilevers ect

- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and sketches

- Preparing fast, accurate material take-offs (Excel) and quotations

- Handling technical and sales enquiries via phone and email

- Explaining designs and recommending solutions to builders and homeowners

- Managing enquiries from concept through to order confirmation

- Entering data into HubSpot (CRM) and Xero

What We're Looking For

- A drafting, building design, carpentry, or construction background — you understand basic load-bearing principles (terms like "span" and "cantilever" aren't new to you)

- Sharp attention to detail at pace — you count and check quickly and correctly, without needing to slow down to get it right

- Confident, natural communication with Australian builders and tradespeople — this is a phone-heavy role dealing with site conditions, trade terminology, and time pressure





- Genuine ability to multitask — juggling live quotes, calls, and deadlines at once

- Energy, confidence, and a growth mindset — comfortable making quick decisions rather than over-analysing

You Will

- Have at least intermediate 3D CAD experience

- Ability to multitask well between multiple projects in a day

- Be comfortable working at a computer most of the day, moving between tasks quickly

- Communicate fluently and naturally with Australian builders and homeowners by phone

- Understand basic construction/building principles

- Have robust numeracy and the ability to stay accurate while working fast

- Be local within ~40 minutes of Knoxfield
