Workshop Controller

We are looking for a strong, driven and process-focused Workshop Controller to take control of our busy truck workshop and help drive it to the next level.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and let the day happen around them. We need a direct, firm and results-orientated leader who can control workflow, push productivity, hold people accountable and make sure jobs move through the workshop properly from start to finish.

You will be the link between technicians, service advisors, parts, management and customers. Your job is to make sure the workshop runs with structure, urgency and discipline.

We are looking for someone with genuine passion for the industry and the strength of character to lead from the front. This role requires someone who can make decisions, drive the team, manage pressure and keep control of the workshop floor.

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for:

- Controlling daily workshop workflow
- Liaising with service advisors and parts
- Allocating jobs to technicians
- Ensuring jobs are completed on time
- Monitoring productivity and efficiency
- Ensuring every hour worked is an hour sold
- Managing job priorities and urgent breakdown work
- Keeping the workshop moving
- Supporting technicians with direction and structure
- Ensuring processes are followed
- Driving strong results across the service department

About you

You will already be a Workshop Manager , Workshop Controller or Leading Hand, Senior Technician ready to step into a bigger leadership role. You MUST have a strong technical knowledge of truck repairs as without this , it is almost impossible to guide the technicians . But what matters most is your attitude, discipline, communication and ability to take control.
