Plasticut is a family-owned plastic engineering business seeking a motivated full-time CNC Router Operator to join our team.

This position is 38-hours, 4-day working week, Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30pm

What you'll be doing

- Operating our two CNC routers to manufacture precision plastic components

- Operating our CO₂ Acrylic laser cutting machine

- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work orders

- Working with engineering plastics including Acrylic, Polycarbonate, HDPE, Acetal, Nylon, etc

- Preparing and finishing parts/components including deburring, radiusing, chamfering and polishing

- Operate our panel saws to do cut to size panels as well as preparing materials and trimming offcuts.





- Assisting with fabrication jobs when an extra pair of hands are required

- Preparing and packaging customers orders and assisting with collection

- Maintaining a clean, organized and secure workspace

- Multitasking and ensuring jobs are completed accurately and on time

About you

We're looking for someone who possesses these essential skills

- Certificate III in Engineering preferred (Certificate II accepted) or trade experience.

- Has experience running CNC routers. (Multicam / toolpath)

- MUST be proficient using AutoCAD

- Must be confident operating a panel saw

- Holds a forklift license

- Can read and interpret technical drawings and work orders

- Has excellent attention to detail

- Must have excellent verbal and written English skills

- Knowledge of engineering plastics
