Job Description
Non-VR General Practitioner (GP) – Full-Time, Part-Time or Locum
Location: Craigieburn Medical & Cosmetic Centre, Craigieburn VIC
Position Overview
Craigieburn Medical & Cosmetic Centre is seeking a Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract or Locum Non-VR General Practitioner to join our busy, well-established bulk billing clinic. The successful applicant will have the chance to manage a large and diverse multicultural patient base while working within a friendly and supportive medical team.
Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend consulting sessions may be available. Working hours and consulting sessions are negotiable.
Supervision can be provided if required.
Remuneration
$120,000 per annum or 55% of billings, whichever is greater. Further remuneration details and working arrangements will be discussed during the interview.
Available Working Hours
Working hours are negotiable but are expected to fall within the following times:
- Monday: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Tuesday: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Wednesday: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Friday: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- Saturday: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
The position may require some after-hours work.

Essential Qualifications
- Current AHPRA registration
- Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate
- Demonstrated English language proficiency
Eligibility to work as a General Practitioner in Australia
Preferred Experience
A minimum of three years of GP experience is preferred. Experience in the following areas is highly regarded: Family Medicine
Women’s Health Immunisations Travel Vaccinations
Chronic Disease Management Minor Procedures and Dressings Skin Cancer Screening
Arabic language skills are preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
Providing professional health assessments, diagnoses, treatment and ongoing management services to patients
Managing a large and diverse multicultural patient base Providing family medicine and preventative healthcare services Managing patients with chronic and complex medical conditions
Providing women’s health services Providing immunisations and travel vaccinations Performing minor procedures and wound dressings
Conducting skin cancer screening Ordering appropriate diagnostic investigations and informing patients of their results Referring patients to specialists, Allied Health professionals and other healthcare providers when required
Consulting and collaborating with medical colleagues and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes Providing private billing services for non‑standard MBS items and overseas patients Accurately documenting consultations, treatment, advice and patient education within the patient’s health record
Returning patient telephone calls and responding to clinical enquiries in a timely manner Completing medical reports, referrals, certificates and other documentation promptly Reporting clinical incidents in accordance with professional obligations and practice policies
Working constructively and respectfully with all clinical and administrative staff Maintaining professional knowledge and clinical standards through continuing medical education and professional development Keeping up to date with Medicare item numbers, Service Incentive Payments, Practice Incentive Payments and other relevant incentive programs
Ensuring personal immunisation requirements remain current Understanding and complying with practice policies, procedures and relevant legal and professional obligations Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to professional development and high‑quality patient care
