Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a highly experienced First Class Fabricator to join our team at our Altona workshop.
About the Role
As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and welding of custom sheet metal products to precise specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the delivery of high-quality outcomes that meet exacting standards and exceed customer expectations.
This role is primarily workshop-based in Altona, with occasional site work involving installation, fabrication and maintenance activities.
About You
We are seeking a motivated and reliable tradesperson who takes pride in producing quality work and contributing to a positive team environment.
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
- Trade qualifications in Fabrication, Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar fabrication role
- Strong experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Proven sheet metal fabrication experience (essential)
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
- A robust understanding of quality standards,
accuracy and consistency
- Experience operating fabrication equipment, including press brakes and laser cutting machinery (advantageous, but training can be provided)
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
- A High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) is advantageous but not essential
