We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager / Project Manager to lead our engineering function and deliver major capital projects across Australia and internationally.

This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for team performance, project delivery, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on accountability, efficiency, and commercial outcomes.

We design, manufacture, and integrate complete systems, working with clients across Australia and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (Australia & China)

Set clear priorities, performance expectations and accountability standards

Build a high-performance, solutions-focused team culture

Recruit, develop and retain engineering talent locally and offshore

Project Delivery

Take full ownership of project outcomes (schedule, budget, quality)

Allocate resources and manage engineering workloads across projects

Ensure projects meet scope, milestones and handover requirements

Drive accountability for deadlines and delivery performance

Operations & Process

Improve engineering systems, workflows and project execution discipline

Forecast workloads and resource requirements

Coordinate closely with Sales, Operations, IT, Accounts and Marketing

Ensure structured project handover and execution standards





Commercial & Performance

Identify cost‑saving opportunities in design and manufacturing

Drive margin improvement across projects

Maintain strong budget control and commercial focus

Innovation & Strategy

- Drive innovation in engineering methods and product development
- Actively identify and implement recent technologies (including AI) to improve efficiency, reduce cost and increase output
- Challenge existing processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to broader company strategy and growth initiatives

About You

Proven experience managing engineering teams and project delivery

Strong commercial mindset with focus on cost, margin and outcomes

Proactive in adopting recent technologies and improving systems (including AI and automation tools)

Experience working with or managing offshore teams is highly regarded

Effective communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders

High level of accountability with a “ownership” mindset

Remuneration & Incentives

Competitive base salary (negotiable based on experience)

Performance-based bonus linked to KPIs and project outcomes

Includes metrics such as project delivery (time/cost), team performance, and margin improvement

Reporting Structure

Reports to: GM – Engineering & Operations

Manages: Mechanical & Electrical Engineers (AU & China), with team expansion planned
