Light Vehicle Mechanic

Grand Motors is seeking a qualified and experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team in Melbourne, Victoria.

This is a full-time permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a professional workshop with modern equipment and a supportive team environment.

$80,000 – $90,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles.
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Repairing engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking systems and other vehicle components.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying repair requirements.
- Using diagnostic equipment to accurately identify faults.
- Testing vehicles after repairs to ensure safety and performance.
- Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation.




- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification work experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Positive communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

- Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models.
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
