Plant Mechanic - Tamworth

Multiquip is a leading transport, logistics, and engineering provider within the poultry industry. We specialise in the transportation of live birds from broiler and breeder farms to processing plants.

We are currently seeking a full time Plant Mechanic to service and maintain light trucks, forklifts and harvesting equipment. This role is critical in ensuring all equipment remains safe, reliable, and compliant with operational and safety requirements to support continuous production.

Your Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on plant and equipment
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Complete scheduled maintenance and safety inspections
- Service and maintain light trucks, forklifts, and harvesting equipment
- Complete maintenance records, service reports, and work orders accurately
- Assist operators with equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs
- Follow NHVAS, WHS, and company policies at all times
- Identify and report equipment issues before they become major problems

About You





- Trade qualified Mechanic
- Experience servicing and repairing vehicles, forklifts, harvesting equipment, or light machinery
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge
- Ability to diagnose faults and troubleshoot effectively
- Able to work independently and respond to breakdowns when required
- Good understanding of WHS and safe work practices
- Reliable team player with a strong work ethic
- Current HR and Forklift licences (desirable)
- Available to work weekends and after-hours callouts when required
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
