Plant Mechanic$50/hr + Super + Overtime $100ph

About the Role DPW is seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our growing team in Austral. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of Telehandlers, Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), Cranes, and access equipment.

Working primarily from our workshop, with occasional field service work, you'll be responsible for ensuring our fleet is maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards through servicing, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on heavy equipment.
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Complete breakdown repairs and major component replacements.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before they become failures.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job documentation.
- Support workshop operations and assist with field service work when required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and OEM standards.

Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified Plant Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
- Experience maintaining mobile cranes, telehandlers, EWPs or similar heavy/mobile plant.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and hydraulic schematics.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Reliable, safety-focused and able to work independently or within a team.
