- At least two (2) years of recent and relevant work experience Position Summary: On behalf of our client, Global Skilled Employment Services is looking for a skilled and experienced Plant Operator. You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, controlling, and maintaining the stationary plant and processing equipment used in Hay production. The role ensures that plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with production schedules, quality standards, environmental requirements, and workplace health and safety obligations. The position contributes to the achievement of operational targets by maintaining continuous plant performance, monitoring production processes, identifying equipment issues, and undertaking routine operational maintenance activities.



This is a full-time position which may involve weekend or public holiday work and some unplanned hours of work where the need arises (paid accordingly).

Duties and responsibilities

- Operating the processing plant and production equipment.
- Monitoring control systems, gauges, valves, pumps, conveyors, compressors, mixers, processing units, or other plant machinery. Regulating and adjusting plant operations to achieve required production outcomes.
- Inspecting equipment and identifying operational abnormalities. Recording production data, operating parameters, maintenance requirements, and quality information.
- Conducting routine cleaning, servicing, and housekeeping activities. Assisting with equipment changeovers and production setup activities. Participating in plant shutdowns, maintenance activities, and commissioning of equipment.
- Responding to operational issues and escalating significant faults to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
- Maintaining compliance with operational, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
