PMO Lead I 12 months contract I Geelong (Hybrid – 3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH)

Rate: $780 per day plus superannuation

Are you an experienced portfolio, program, or enterprise delivery professional looking to make a genuine impact within a large Victorian Government organisation?

We're partnering with a well-known State Government agency based in Geelong to recruit a Senior PMO Lead to join their Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). In this role, you'll work closely with senior leaders, project sponsors, and delivery teams to drive strategic portfolio outcomes and support enterprise-wide project delivery.

Your new role

- Partner with senior stakeholders, sponsors, and delivery leads across the organisation
- Provide portfolio oversight, governance assurance, and risk management support
- Support project and program initiation, approvals, and delivery frameworks
- Develop enterprise-level reporting and executive decision-making materials
- Drive portfolio prioritisation and strategic roadmap planning
- Provide advice and insights on delivery trends, risks, and opportunities




- Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management practices and capabilities across the organisation

Key Selection Criteria

- Extensive experience in enterprise portfolio, program, or project management
- Previous experience working within State Government environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at executive level
- Experience working within PMOs, portfolio governance in delivery functions
- Proven ability to navigate complex environments and manage competing priorities
- Robust knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2 and PMBOK
- Experience providing project or program assurance and governance oversight
