My client is a respected financial services practice in Frankston, offering accounting, taxation, financial planning and mortgage broking services. Since inception, the business has grown steadily through strong client relationships, referrals and a genuine commitment to quality advice. The firm has built a collaborative and down-to‑earth culture where people enjoy coming to work, support one another, and have plenty of laughs along the way. The firm is led by 2 Directors, with a total headcount of 16. The accounting team consists of the Directors, Manager, Intermediate Accountant, 2 offshore team members (based in the Philippines and who have been with the business for 11 years), plus the support team.

This is a Senior Accountant position designed to strengthen the firm's leadership team and provide greater support to the Directors. You'll become a trusted senior team member, taking ownership of client relationships, reviewing work, mentoring junior staff, and helping drive the accounting division forward. The client base is diverse,



with businesses typically ranging from $1m to $2m in turnover. Clients include trades/construction, professional services, community banks, family groups etc. Experience with SMSFs would be highly regarded but is not essential.

The firm understands that life exists outside of work and offers flexibility to support family commitments including flexible start times and finish times, and WFH options.

Responsibilities will include:

- Manage a portfolio of SME clients across a diverse range of industries
- Review compliance work and financial statements prepared by the team
- Provide tax and business advisory services
- Meet directly with clients and become their trusted advisor
- Mentor and support junior colleagues
- Assist with workflow management and team development
- Help free up the Directors to focus on strategic growth initiatives

The ideal candidate will possess:

- Minimum of 5 years’ Business Services/Taxation experience
- Completion (or near completion) of CA/CPA qualifications
- Experience with clients across a variety of entity-types and industries, with a particular interest in working with small business and family group clients
- Solid communication skills and client facing abilities
