We are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of facility operations, including planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and onsite maintenance, ensuring operational continuity.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, and Australian building codes through regular audits and record-keeping.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for services and supplies
- Manage budgets for facility maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet their needs
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans
- Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for facility operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

- Relevant education in facilities management, engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills




- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge of Australian building codes and workplace health and safety legislation
- Experience managing budgets and negotiating contracts
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Maintenance Management Systems, such as MyBuildings, and advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in managing capital expenditure projects related to facility upgrades and refurbishments.
