We are based in Thomastown, Vic 3074, servicing residential and commercial clients across the Greater Melbourne area. We are experiencing very strong demand due to being widely known and respected for the quality of our work, and the reliability of our service over many years.

We are looking for a new Structural Steel Boilermaker/Fabricator/Rigger/Onsite Installer with proven industry experience to join our expanding team.

Working as part of our delivery and installation team, you may find yourself using your skills to…

Follow engineering, Tekla and architectural drawings and layout specifications

Align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits in the erection of structural steel

Use jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers to align and fit parts according to specifications

Locate and mark work piece bending and cutting lines allowing for stock thickness, machine and welding shrinkage and other component specifications

Position and tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, bolt straps or bolt parts into position for welding or riveting

Move parts into position, manually or with hoists and cranes

Checking levels of beams and posts prior to fixing off





Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications

Maintain all equipment and tools in good working order

Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, fabricators, installers and others)

Required to work on the factory floor as directed by the Factory Manager pre and post working on site

Essential requirements of the role:

Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)

Trade qualified or relevant experience in welding

Ability to read architectural engineering and Tekla (preferred) drawings

Yellow Card – Elevated Work Platform (Preferred)

Crane ticket an advantage but not essential

Willingness to undertake a Police Check

Commitment to protected work practices

Willing and able to perform physical work

Forklift licence an advantage

Show evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia

Have experience with structural steel

Have excellent problem-solving skills

Are a skilled self-starter and team player

Have a proven ability to manage and complete jobs in a set time frame

Have excellent interpersonal communications and customer service skills,
