About the Role

We're representing a leading corporate advisory firm that provides independent, high-impact financial and strategic advice to boards, CEOs, and institutional investors.

This Associate Director role offers the chance to work closely with some of Australia's most senior business leaders on complex public and private market transactions- from mergers and acquisitions and takeover defence mandates, to strategic capital advisory projects.

Reporting to the Corporate Advisory Director,you'll play a pivotal role in the execution of live deals, client strategy, and origination initiatives, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with highly respected advisors across the industry.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be involved across the full transaction lifecycle, working within a lean, high-performing team. Core responsibilities include:

- Leading and managing client mandates across public and private M&A;, capital raisings, and strategic advisory projects.
- Supporting takeover defence and board advisory engagements, preparing analysis and recommendations under market disclosure and regulatory frameworks (ASX, ASIC, FIRB).
- Conducting detailed financial modelling, valuations, and scenario/sensitivity analysis to support client decision-making.
- Preparing high-quality board materials, presentations, and transaction documentation.
- Conducting deep market and peer analysis across listed sectors to identify opportunities and inform deal strategy.
- Liaising with counterparties, legal and accounting advisors,



and regulatory stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution.
- Driving origination and client engagement efforts - identifying prospective clients, preparing proposals, and contributing to pitches.
- Mentoring analysts and associates to build capability within the team.Upholding the firm's purpose-driven ethos and values, using business as a force for good.

About You

We're seeking a commercially astute corporate advisor who combines robust analytical capability with exceptional communication and client-facing skills.

- 5-10 years' experience in investment banking, corporate advisory, or management consulting.
- Strong public markets understanding- experience with listed company transactions, market announcements, and takeover/defence processes.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end M&A; and capital markets transactions.
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions).
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities; confident engaging senior executives and boards.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, prioritise, and thrive under pressure.
- Exposure to FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar tools advantageous.
- Collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a high level of professional integrity.
