These are exciting times at Tallangatta Meat Processors and due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team in Tallangatta. You will be a valued team member and will work in a rapid-paced setting that has a focus on safety and well-being.
Your responsibilities are:
- Supporting and influencing the improvement of site food safety and quality culture.
- Providing food safety and quality direction and training where needed
- Experience in the Meat Industry, Tier 2 export, not a necessity but would be an advantage
- Actively participating and contributing to the achievement of operational excellence through coaching the teams to understand the Why Quality and food safety is important.
- Working with team members to effectively solve problems relating to quality, including customer complaints and daily monitoring non conformances
- Driving continuous improvement to promote food safety and quality awareness
- Sampling for NCMMP requirements
- Documentation and daily monitoring records review
- HACCP awareness and training
- Understanding of Ausmeat, DAFF, NLIS and QA language
- GMP and hygiene monitoring procedures
- Ability to understand organisational systems relating to process compliance experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Demonstrated problem solving ability ideally obtained in a meat processing environment
- Assist in developing and completing of various scheduled QA tasks to ensure continued compliance
- Support the review and ongoing improvement of Quality assurance procedures
- Internal Auditing
- Training / mentoring, QA and Production personnel
- External environmental inspections and reporting
- Assist with the maintaining Chemicals/ SDS and declarations of assurance
- Assist with the Calibration schedule and documentation.
- Verification of pest control procedures and activities
- Assist with data entry and trending results for micro and hygiene results
- Awareness of importing country requirements
- Follow all OH&S; procedures and policies

- Willing to undergo Q Fever Vaccination or have completed Q Fever Vaccination
