The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Executive General Manager – Operations to lead the day-to-day operational performance of our collision repair network.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be responsible for ensuring each region and site delivers its financial, operational, customer, quality and people targets.

The successful candidate will lead Area Managers, Site Managers and other key operational leaders across NSW and Queensland, translating the group’s strategy into consistent execution across the business.

This is a senior operational leadership role requiring strong collision repair knowledge, financial discipline and the ability to hold leaders accountable for performance across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Multi-Site Operational Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day operational performance of the group’s repair network.
- Manage and support Area Managers, Site Managers and key operational leaders.
- Ensure all sites operate in line with company standards, policies and agreed performance expectations.
- Identify underperforming sites and implement practical recovery plans.
- Drive consistency, accountability and continuous improvement across the network.
- Conduct regular site visits and operational performance reviews.

Financial and Commercial Performance

- Deliver agreed revenue, gross profit, EBITDA and site profitability targets.
- Review weekly and monthly financial results and ensure corrective action is taken where required.
- Improve labor productivity, parts performance, paint and material margins and cost control.
- Manage work in progress, jobs completed not invoiced, accounts receivable and parts credits.
- Ensure site targets are aligned to operational capacity and available working weeks.

Operational Performance





- Drive improvement across key operational measures, including:
- Jobs completed not invoiced
- Work in progress
- Parts utilization, credits and returns
- Repair quality and rectification
- Insurer and client performance measures
- Ensure repair procedures, estimating, authorizations, invoicing and quality control standards are consistently followed.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions.
- Standardize processes and reporting across the group.
- Maintain a strong understanding of collision repair estimating and quoting practices.
- Lead, coach and develop Area Managers, Site Managers and senior operational employees.
- Build stronger leadership capability across the business.
- Support recruitment, retention and performance management.
- Address staffing issues promptly
- Create a high-performance environment with clear expectations and accountability.
- Ensure leaders are effectively managing productivity, attendance, employee performance and engagement.

Client and Stakeholder Management

- Support the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Executive Officer in maintaining strong relationships with insurers, fleet clients, OEMs, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Manage operational escalations and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Participate in insurer meetings and performance discussions.
- Ensure contractual commitments, service levels and performance standards are met.
- Represent the business professionally with external stakeholders.

Quality, Safety and Compliance

- Ensure all sites comply with workplace health and safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
- Maintain strong governance over repair quality, vehicle safety and insurer standards.
- Ensure incidents, breaches and quality concerns are investigated and addressed.
- Oversee corrective action plans and confirm agreed actions are implemented.
- Work with operational leaders to reduce workplace injuries, workers compensation exposure and operational risk.




- Ensure all sites maintain appropriate housekeeping, equipment and facility standards.

Reporting and Execution

- Provide the Chief Operating Officer / Chief Executive Officer with clear reporting on operational performance, risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly operational updates.
- Translate group strategy into measurable actions for Area Managers and Site Managers.
- Ensure business priorities are implemented consistently across all locations.
- Work collaboratively with finance, people and culture, procurement and administration teams.

About You

You will be an experienced senior operational leader with strong commercial judgement and the ability to manage performance across a geographically dispersed business.

You will be comfortable moving between financial analysis, operational reviews, people leadership and detailed site-level matters.

You will also have:

- Significant leadership experience within collision repair, automotive, insurance, fleet or a related service-based industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations.
- Solid understanding of collision repair operations, estimating and repair processes.
- A proven record of improving profitability, productivity, operational performance and customer outcomes.
- Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, margin management and working capital control.
- Experience leading Area Managers, Site Managers or senior operational leaders.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage difficult performance issues and hold leaders accountable.
- A practical, hands‑on leadership style.
- The ability and willingness to travel regularly across NSW and Queensland.
- A current Australian driver license and full Australian working rights.
- Experience working within an insurer repair network, large collision repair group or insurance company will be highly regarded.
