Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Primary

Products Quality Assurance Officer to join our quality management team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Farm Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing,

implementing and maintaining quality assurance systems across orchard operations,

harvesting, packing and post-harvest handling to ensure compliance with industry standards,

customer specifications and food safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance procedures throughout orchard,

harvesting and packing operations.

· Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

· Conduct quality inspections and testing of fresh produce throughout the production and packing process.

· Monitor grading, packing, storage and transport processes to maintain product quality and traceability.

· Maintain quality assurance documentation, records and reports.





· Assist with Freshcare, HACCP and other food safety management systems. (HARP's)

· Prepare for internal and external quality assurance audits.

· Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.

· Monitor hygiene, sanitation and food safety compliance within packing facilities.

· Provide quality-related training and guidance to operational staff.

· Liaise with growers, supervisors and management regarding product quality and compliance requirements.

· Assist in continuous improvement initiatives relating to quality management and food safety systems.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should demonstrate

· A relevant qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor degree) in Food

Technology, Food Science, Agricultural Science, Quality Assurance or a closely related discipline.

· At least one (1) year of relevant full-time experience in quality assurance within the fresh produce, horticulture or food production industry.

· Knowledge of food safety, quality assurance and traceability systems.

· Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and organisational skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced agricultural environment.
