As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our legal services and are seeking an experienced Principal Lawyer to lead our legal practice.

About the Role
As Principal Lawyer, you will be responsible for leading and managing the firm's legal practice while ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services and compliance with all professional obligations.
Working closely with senior management, you will help shape the strategic direction of the legal division, mentor legal staff, oversee complex legal matters, and ensure an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the firm's legal practice.
- Provide strategic legal advice across one or more areas of law.
- Manage client matters from initial consultation through to completion.
- Draft, review and negotiate legal documents, agreements and contracts.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, tribunals and courts where appropriate.
- Supervise, mentor and develop lawyers, graduate lawyers, paralegals and legal support staff.
- Ensure compliance with the Legal Profession Uniform Law, Legal Services Board requirements, and all professional obligations.
- Develop and maintain legal precedents,
internal policies and quality assurance systems.
- Implement efficient legal workflows and best practice procedures.
- Work collaboratively with management and other business divisions to deliver integrated professional services.
- Maintain strong client relationships through professional, practical and timely legal advice.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the legal practice.

About You
Essential Requirements
- Admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner.
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an unrestricted Australian practising certificate.
- Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience (PAE).
- Current Principal Practising Certificate, or eligibility to obtain one, will be highly regarded.
- Strong technical legal knowledge across your area(s) of practice.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and ethical practice.
- Ability to manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional client service.
Desirable
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
- Experience managing legal operations or leading a legal team.
- Experience implementing legal systems, precedents and operational procedures.
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary professional services environment.
- Vietnamese language skills are advantageous but not essential.
