Your New Company Join a specialist property team responsible for managing a large and diverse property portfolio that supports essential community infrastructure across Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property skilled to contribute to complex leasing, tenure, land management, and development matters while working with a broad range of stakeholders.

Your New Role

As the Principal Property Officer, you will play a key role in delivering strategic property outcomes through the negotiation, development, and management of a range of property agreements.

You will provide expert property advice, undertake due diligence activities, and support projects that facilitate the effective management and use of government-owned assets.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead the negotiation and management of leases, licences, deeds of agreement, and joint development agreements.
- Undertake detailed property analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments to support informed decision-making.
- Provide high-level property advice on land management, tenure, leasing, and community use matters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, local governments, developers, legal representatives, and community groups.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefs, recommendations, and correspondence to support property projects and initiatives.

What You'll Need to Be Successful To be successful in this role, you will bring:





- Demonstrated experience in property management, leasing, land tenure, or related commercial property functions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build productive relationships.
- Experience providing strategic property advice and managing complex property transactions.
- Excellent research, analytical, and report-writing capabilities.
- Strong understanding of property legislation, policy, governance, and compliance requirements.

Highly Regarded:

- Experience in conveyancing, property law, or site due diligence activities.
- Knowledge of town planning principles and joint development agreements.
- Previous experience working within a government or large asset portfolio environment.
- Understanding of legislation and policy frameworks relating to the management of Queensland Government property assets.
