As a Senior Podiatrist, you will provide high-level, independent podiatric assessment, treatment and management for a varied and complex caseload within the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) ambulatory high-risk foot service. Working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health professionals, you will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while contributing to service development, quality initiatives, and research activities.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Utilise high-level clinical skills, knowledge and independent skilled judgement to manage a varied and complex caseload within the ambulatory podiatry high risk foot services of MNHHS, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. The setting is a hospital podiatry inpatient and outpatient clinic for the management of complex foot conditions in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Develop effective professional relationships with patients and other healthcare providers in the multi-disciplinary team to influence clinical outcomes
- Provide timely clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers, members of the multi-disciplinary team and other stakeholders
- Apply high-level knowledge and skill to provide advice and communicate, in both verbal and written formats, with colleagues and clinical partners regarding the clinical care of patients
- Utilise higher level negotiation skills within the team and with external partners to influence outcomes
