Flexibility and availability between 7:00am and 6:30pm is essential.

About the Role

At KingKids, we are here for the children. As a Room Leader, you will lead your team in creating a safe, engaging and inspiring learning setting where children can grow, explore and thrive.

You will be responsible for guiding the day-to-day operations of your room, supporting educators to deliver high-quality education and care while fostering a positive, collaborative and accountable team culture. Through coaching, mentoring and leading by example, you will empower those around you to continually reflect, learn and deliver their best for children.

Working closely with families and your leadership team, you will oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of a meaningful play-based program that reflects each child's interests, strengths and developmental needs.



You will also ensure your room consistently operates in accordance with the National Quality Framework, KingKids policies and procedures, and all legislative requirements.

As a child-safe leader, you will champion children's rights and wellbeing, embedding strong supervision, risk management and child-safe practices into every aspect of your room's operation. You will create an environment where children, families and educators feel valued, supported and inspired every day.

- Answering 30 questions a minute from curious toddlers and pre-schoolers

- Singing on demand (perfect pitch optional)

- Turning a paint smudge into a story

- Spotting smiling giraffes in abstract art

About you

You’re qualified, capable, and committed to creating meaningful learning experiences and most importantly, a protected environment for every child. You’ll also have:

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)

- Current Working with Children Check & Police Check

- Completed mandatory training

- First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certification

- Strong knowledge of the NQF and EYLF

- A flexible, team-first approach

- A demonstrated commitment to child safety, rights, and wellbeing in all aspects of practice
