Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can start immediately and enjoys working in a quick-paced environment, managing end-to-end payroll and ensuring accuracy across all payroll-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for 350+ employees
- Calculate termination payments and employee entitlements
- Balance payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post payroll journals
- Manage superannuation payments through the ATO
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
- Identify and contribute to payroll process improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation and company policies
About You
- Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation requirements
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile payroll data accurately
- Confident using payroll systems and Excel
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
