The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Customer Service Officer (CSO) to join our team at EPIISOD Macquarie Park. Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the resident experience from the ground up at one of Sydney’s most exciting new student properties.

As a CSO, you will be the first point of contact for residents, prospective tenants, and guests—delivering exceptional service, managing bookings and enquiries, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the property. You’ll also play a key role in community engagement, marketing, and creating a welcoming, dynamic environment where students feel at home.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service in all interactions
- Respond to enquiries and convert leads into confirmed bookings, including supporting the Administrator with leasing and administrative tasks
- Assist with sales, marketing campaigns, and social media engagement
- Manage all stages of the resident journey - from check in, rent collection, arrears, room inspections, check outs, and contract enquiries
- Operate front desk reception services, including assisting with residents, organising cleaning, taking deliveries, and assisting with communications to residents
- Support the Accommodation Manager in daily property operations and administrative tasks
- Liasing with contractors to provide access, and organise relevant jobs

- Foster a supportive and vibrant residential community for students
- Maintain compliance with relevant tenancy and property policies

Requirements

- Minimum 12 months’ experience in customer service or accommodation-related roles
- Experience in handling accounts, enquiries, and general administration
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on empathy and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to connect across cultures
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard business software
- A team player with initiative, resilience, and a positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check

Highly Desirable

- Background in student accommodation, hospitality, or property management
- Diploma in Hotel or Business Administration (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience with property management systems (e.g., StarRez)
- Familiarity with basic accounting, cash handling, and reconciliation
- Knowledge of NSW tenancy laws, NCAT procedures, and bond lodgements
- Marketing or social media experience
- Insight into student life and university environments
- Awareness of WHS, privacy, and compliance standards

What We Offer

At EPIISOD Macquarie Park, you’ll be part of a visionary brand redefining student living in Australia. This role offers a competitive Total Fixed Remuneration (TFR) package, inclusive of employer superannuation contributions, and the opportunity to help create something extraordinary.

We have availability for one full-time position, as well as a potential casual position.

Be part of something bold. Help shape a new standard in student living with EPIISOD.
